We look forward to seeing you at Birdfair

This year’s Global Birdfair will be held on 12, 13 and 14 July 2024 at Lyndon Top, Oakham, Rutland LE15 8RN. It is an event where a community of nature lovers and birdwatchers from around the world come together to make a difference to global conservation. We look forward to seeing you there to catch up, share news and perhaps explore the potential for new itineraries.  We value your insights into our current tours and the feasibility of expanding them to include new destinations and targets.

You can find us at stand 18 in the Robin Marquee.

What comes next

We have had another fantastic spring here in Southeast Europe, with many successful birding and wildlife tours and happy clients. However, the season is not over yet and our mountain meadows are full of beautiful wild flowers, with butterflies and dragonflies fluttering around, and you can still join our Summer Butterfly Tour in Bulgaria, scheduled for 20-28 July 2024.

With autumn bird migration just beginning in our corner of Europe, our calendar of birding, wildlife and photography tours has plenty to offer over the next few months. Our autumn migration tours focus on the spectacular annual migration of thousands of birds of prey, pelicans, storks and passerines along the Black Sea coastal flyway known as the Via Pontica – one of Europe’s major bird migration routes.

The autumn migration of waders is also a fascinating experience, and birders who enjoy wader watching will appreciate the richness of the well-preserved coastal lagoons of northern Greece. The numbers of Little Stints and Curlew Sandpipers there are astonishing and searching for rarities among them is a tough but very enjoyable birding exercise.

The earliest opportunity to join one of our bird migration tours is the 31st August – 7th September 2024, Wader Migration Tour in Northern Greece, or our planned Autumn Migration Tour in Bulgaria, 21 September – 29 September 2024, for which we still have a few places available.

Late autumn (October – November) offers great opportunities to see all nine of Europe’s resident woodpecker species, as well as some of the elusive owl and grouse species that remain high on many birders’ wish lists. You can either join our scheduled Woodpeckers, Owls and Grouse Tour (8 – 16 November 2024) or ask for other dates.

To see the full menu of our scheduled tours or to enquire about alternative dates for your group, please visit our website regularly and remember that we can always design a special tour for you!
