Tour itinerary:
| Day 1 |
Arrival in the evening at Bourgas Airport. Accommodation for
two nights in the Sarafovo part of the city of Bourgas

| Day 2 |
Morning - Western Strandzha Mnts.
Key species: Masked Shrike, Olive-tree Warbler, Eastern Bonelli's Warbler, Isabelline Wheatear, Ortolan Bunting, Red-backed and Woodchat shrikes, Black-headed Bunting, Middle Spotted and Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers, European Roller, European Bee-eater, Eurasian Hoopoe, etc.
Late afternoon - Bourgas Wetlands: Mandra Lake with the Poda lagoon, Vaya Lake, Atanasovsko lake
Key species to be seen at Bourgas wetlands:
Dalmatian Pelican, White Pelican, Pygmy Cormorant, Ruddy Shelduck, Ferruginous Duck, Little Bittern, Collared Pratincole, Black-winged Stilt, Kentish Plover, Slender-billed Gull, Mediterranean Gull, Gull-billed Tern, Penduline Tit, Bearded Reedling, Eastern Olivaceous Warbler, etc.

| Day 3 |
Travelling northward with stops for birdwatching in the Eastern Balkan range, looking for the
Lesser Spotted Eagle, Grey-headed Woodpecker, Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Barred Warbler, Eastern Bonelli's Warbler, Semi-collared Flycatcher, Short-toed Treecreeper, Hawfinch, Sombre Tit, Cirl Bunting,
Black-headed Bunting, etc.and if have time in the
Batova riverine forests, where we will have another good chance for the Semi-collared Flycatcher.
Accommodation in Kavarna area (in Coastal Dobrudzha) for two nights

| Day 4 |
Morning - visit the Shabla lakes (25 km north of Kavarna), where we can observe the
Pygmy Cormorant, Ferruginous Duck, Red-footed Falcon, Collared Pratincole, Paddyfield Warbler, Lesser Grey Shrike, Red-backed Shrike, the Tick-billed race of the Common Reed Bunting (ssp. reiseri).
At noon and early afternoon - we will be exploring the steppes and cliffs around Cape Kaliakra: European Shag (Mediterranean ssp. desmarestii), Long-legged Buzzard, Levant Sparrowhawk, Eagle Owl, Alpine Swift, Short-toed Lark, Calandra Lark, Isabelline Wheatear, Pied Wheatear, Black-headed Bunting.
While in this area we will also check several spots, where the Syrian Woodpecker occurs

| Day 5 |
Travelling south with stops for birdwatching at Varna Lake, Eastern Balkan range and /or Bourgas wetlands
- to catch up with some of the species we may have missed or have not seen well in the first 3 days.
Late afternoon/evening departure from the Bourgas Airport.

- The ground transport by van or minibus, depending on the group-size. The transfers from / to Bourgas Airport are included;
